What Is the Grain Brain Diet? Everything You Need to Know

It was developed by Dr. Perlmutter in response to his research surrounding brain dysfunction and the effects of carbohydrates on the brain. He discovered that just like heart dysfunction, signs and symptoms of brain dysfunction build up over time as we engage in certain behaviours and adopt certain habits.
He discovered that people who eat high-carb, low-fat diets have greater levels of inflammation in their body and brain, cholesterol protects the brain, and that the gluten of today is dangerous. He also concluded that people who have a larger waist size have a smaller memory centre!
